fork.....fork.....fork....

i made a sweet fork with maya....this is my first time using the program. i pretty much love it already. i'm going to be getting a lot of practice with maya in the next few semesters because i'm working on a 3d animated digital short Annabelle's Bistro with my professor and class.


Speaking of Annebelle's Bistro.....Kyle Kazmier and I are doing the podcast for the production of this project. We just got added up on the itunes podcast store so check it out. So far we've had only one epidode and a few break out ones. We've planning on doing our second episode tonight.

The Oresteia is still in full swing....ugh....

My CGI team is just working on our animated drawing comps....we're working in after effects to do camera angles, lights, and what not. they look ok....i'll throw some up soon here. We're pushing on a week a half to get all the media done that we need. we have another full day film shoot this saturday.

I got an A on my business writing midterm....not that anyones cares about that but whatever :P

experiments in the 3rd demention....

Here are a few quick short movies of some stuff i have been working on. We're trying to do some stuff with 3d layers and cameras in after effects....so this is me learning.....







this second one makes me laugh cause it looks like the dioramas i used to make for grade school projects. man those were the days....

oresteia tests....

so heres a test shoot of the death of Agamemnon that i garbage matted, keyed, and used some timing effects on. its pretty sweet if i do say so myself :) my teacher jim ferolo is the awesome king...students and teachers have very open relationships here at bradley. they throw us around and trying to kiss us....cough ok not really....we better not spead that rumor around...haha. but we do get to murder them....

so this is just some preliminary work that we have been working on for this production of the Oresteia. the show is opening on Nov. 13 and its going to be a media enhanced theatre production combining live action, cgi elements, 3d poloarized video, controlled gaming engines, filmic photography, text messaging, audio, live rss feeds, and much more.....its really going to define multimedia and hopefully help us explain a little bit better.....what our major "multimedia" is all about.

so.....what did i do instead of working on my animation project?
i started this blog.

and what am i doing right now instead of working of my animation project?
i am writing this post.

i seem to be off to a good start...ha. i'm suppose to be animating a kitten being attacked by a ball of yarn. it a 30 second animation that i'm doing in affect effects, which doesn't seem like very long at all, but if 24 frames make a second...then that is what?.....uhhhh 720 frames that i have to nudge and stretch and position and rotate. thats a frickin lot. my respect for disney just increase even more. i'm really enjoying this animation stuff though...despite my complaining. it's just very challenging.

anyways....hey...."hello world". this isn't really my hello world post....i've had many other blogs before, but this one i hope is going to be the keeper. i'm using blogspot cause its easy and fast.

shhhh.....i'm suppose to be a big supporter of drupal. which i totally am....don't get me wrong, but i just don't have time to start a drupal blog right now. we'll just add that to the list of things to do....later.
